My story

Hello and welcome to my website, I will start by sharing a little bit about myself. I am an artist and a mother of two. I live in Kent in the United Kingdom and am married to an Englishman with a Swedish mother. I was born in South Africa and have a German father. I spent my early childhood in Africa, my primary school years living in Germany, my late teens living in Singapore before ending up in sunny old England. It was my love and passion for Art that brought me to the UK, where I completed a Fine Art degree to then find myself landing a job in Bond Street London, selling Jewellery to the rich and famous. Not a career path I had chosen,  but enjoyable non the less. Fast forwarding to the here and now and I am not officially in employed, paid work, but am a full time mother to a 5 year old girl, a 21 month old baby boy, a rabbit named ‘Rosie’ and most recently a dog named ‘Guinness’. I spend any spare time I do have on my artwork or interior design projects. I am currently exhibition my work on a semi-permanent basis in a cafe in Rochester, called the ‘Pausenbrot Cafe’. If you are local to Kent, I recommend visiting the cafe for a good cup of coffee and some great cakes, as well as seeing my paintings of course.

In the last 12 months I have also been testing the waters of local Art and Craft markets with a very talented friend who hand makes children’s clothes. ‘Mein Bellchen’. It has been a blast, some of them have been a bit wrong for us, others have been fabulous. My favourite so far has got to be the Harbour Market in Whitstable and I am very much looking forward to our next gig at the Wealden Times Midsummer fair in endeavour on the 8th,9th an 10th of June.

So that brings me to this website, it has taken me months to finally get it up and running. I recently closed down my previous blog site to make way for this new platform which now contains my very own shop. I have to point out that IT is not my field of expertise and I have had many nights cursing my computer and going to bed way too late.

I will endeavour to list as many of my available work as possible, giving any visitors the option to buy from me directly. Commissions are still always welcome!
